Behind the scenes: photo shoot winter collection 2016
Last Saturday the photo shoot of the Sophie Stone winter collection 2016 took place. After some initial hick-ups (no make-up artist due to a miscommunication and a delayed start due to train disruptions), we started around a quarter to nine with putting on the first outfits, the make-up provided by myself and determining the first scene (where, with which light and which poses). Sanne and Laura, the models that also appeared in the photos of the summer collection, were photographed by photographer Mischa Keijser in Pakhuis West (an old peanut factory).

The beautiful light that fell through the high windows of the warehouse and the cappuccino from the nearby restaurant made for a good start. The first couple of outfits always need a bit more time and photos and during the shoot everyone gets more and more used to each other. The connection of the speakers and the accompaniment of Justin Bieber also does a lot.

A great advantage of Pakhuis West is that there are various spaces that can be used as a setting. We took photos near a tile wall, in a large hall with concrete columns, the smoking area, various corridors and in front of the lockers. Each place has a slightly different atmosphere and offers the opportunity to try out different poses.

5 hours and 11 cappuccinos later, the last outfit was finished! What follows now is the selection and editing of the photos, after which they will be placed in the webshop as soon as possible.
Curious about the final photos? Keep an eye on the site (and/or social media)!

What a great insight into the work of Mischa. Nice location and seems fun such a collaboration. Good luck to both of you!
