Food for skin 100% natural

The products of the Dutch brand food for skin are 100% natural and therefore also 100% plastic-free. All ingredients are even "edible. Also, almost all ingredients are organically grown, vegan and animal-tested.

Your skin is your largest organ and contains millions of living cells that want to be "fed" with nature's most powerful thing. Vegetables are packed with vitamins and minerals and antioxidants that make your microbes very happy. And actually you knew that, because if you want to take good care of your body you know that drinking water and eating fruits and vegetables are super for your body. The brand also uses nuts and plant seeds. Seeds and nuts contain the heart of the fruit and therefore contain the most powerful pure ingredients.

The products have a minimum shelf life of one year and 6 months after opening.

Two sisters on a mission

Food for Skin was founded in late 2020 by Cathy and Angela: two sisters on a mission to make the beauty industry a little more beautiful again!

After an unsuccessful personal search for quality, honest and 100% natural skincare, they took matters into their own hands to prove that it can be done: effective products that have as little impact on the earth as possible. The brand uses nature's most potent and nourishing ingredients: vegetables, plants and seeds.

The baseline was developed over two years in cooperation with a professional laboratory in the Netherlands. All products are certified and extensively tested in an independent laboratory and test panels.

Food for Skin's mission goes beyond the most sustainable skincare possible. We are B Corp, contributing to the development of more ingredients obtained from local waste streams (upcycling), as well as investing a lot of time in education and partnering with The Plastic Soup Foundation to combat the use of microplastics in cosmetics.

Food for skin packaged in sustainable materials

The glass packaging of all products is made of Miron ultraviolet glass. This dark glass ensures that light cannot reach the product, which enhances its shelf life. Thanks in part to this glass, the natural product, without chemical preservatives, has a longer shelf life and your product is protected from unwanted invaders.

The pumps and caps are made of PP plastic. A more environmentally friendly alternative is currently being sought, but due to the use of oils, there does not seem to be another solution available at this time. The good news is that PP is now easily recyclable. So please dispose of the cap/pump separately with the plastic.
