As you probably already know, a lot goes wrong in the fast-fashion industry when we consider the impact on people, animals and the environment. This is why at Sophie Stone we choose to offer only slow-fashion items that have been produced with minimal impact under fair conditions. Besides the clothing industry, there is also a lot of room for improvement in the food industry when it comes to animal and environmental impact. For example, the production of animal products involves a lot of animal suffering and has a great impact on the environment through deforestation and water pollution.

More and more people are becoming aware of this and choosing to eat vegan. This means that you eat completely plant-based and thus do not eat products that contain meat, fish, milk, yogurt, eggs or honey. This is all to reduce the impact on animals and the environment, but also for your own health. For example, it turns out that by eating vegan you run less risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer.

Would you like to try out some vegan recipes and eat plant-based food more often? Then we've collected some great social media accounts for you that can inspire you to be more conscious about what you eat and make sustainable choices. Together we can make a difference!

She used to enjoy meat immensely and would feast on some tasty bitterballen or spare ribs, but these days Lisa is completely vegan. Ever since she started learning about where our food comes from, she decided, for the sake of the animals, the earth and her health, to eat plant-based. And that felt so good, she really doesn't want anything else now. Many people ask Lisa what you can still eat if you don't eat meat, fish, dairy and eggs. To give insight into what she does eat and how easy and healthy it is, she started sharing her vegan lifestyle through her website and Instagram- and TikTok account.

Lisa Goes Vegan's website(www.lisagoesvegan.com) also features a blog with all kinds of great articles, from tasty recipes to tips for vegan-friendly vacation destinations. She has also released two cookbooks with vegan comfort food and easy recipes. In short: plenty of inspiration!

Dianne is founder, recipe developer and food photographer of Vegafoodness(www.vegafoodness.nl). Through this blog, she inspires others with her vegan recipes, because she is convinced that eating plant-based has many benefits for your health and she considers it important for the environment and animals.

On her blog, she shares delicious recipes from many different world cuisines and shares tasty comfort food recipes in addition to healthy recipes. Ghislaine has her own food blog on Instagram where she inspires others with her plant-based recipes. It was very easy for her to make the switch to plant-based cooking because her mother raised her vegetarian. Because of her personal interest in what she actually cooked, she decided to set up her Instagram page so she could share all her recipes and fun hot spots.

Her main message to her followers is that food really is about balance and that you don't have to go all the way when it comes to eating plant-based. If you decide you want to eat plant-based, you can just take small steps and you are not immediately a bad vegan if you do not eat vegan for once. Because even with the small steps you are already contributing so much!

Oh My Pie!(www.ohmypie.nl) was founded by Marike. She is a gluten-free baking entrepreneur, food photographer, recipe developer and author. As such, she has written two books called "Oh My Pie" and "Baking Without Wheat. This all started when she found out ten years ago that she has coaliakia: an autoimmune disease that makes you sick from gluten. To better educate herself on what her body needed she went on to study orthomolecular nutrition where she learned about baking cakes of all kinds, made from only natural products. Besides always eating gluten-free, she also eats lactose-free and a lot of vegan. This helped her tremendously, so she eventually stopped experiencing physical complaints and nutrition became her medicine. Now, through her website, Instagram- and TikTok-page , she inspires others to eat gluten-free.

What is unique about Marieke's business is that she also offers Master Classes and has even established an Oh My Pie! Academy. With this, she helps others who run into gluten-free baking problems in practice by offering tools and personalizing recipes chosen by you into a gluten-free version.
