What is Vegan Silk/Triacetate?

Triacetate, also known as vegan silk or wood silk, is a naturally based fibre (wood pulp). The wood that serves as the basis for this fabric comes from trees from specially sustainably managed forests. Triacetate fabric is famous for its beautiful shine, luxurious feel and the fact that it falls beautifully. It is very similar to silk in these properties, but with a natural (vegan) base. 

 

Clothing made of vegan silk

Clothing made of vegan silk is lightweight, has a beautiful silk-like shine and feels cool to the touch. Because the material drapes and folds well, it is often used in dresses and pleated skirts. Triacetate clothing does not shrink and is easy to wash.
