KOMONO sustainable sunglasses
Sustainable sunglasses from KOMONO
KOMONO is an innovative sunglasses brand founded in 2009 in Antwerp, Belgium, by professional snowboarders Anton Janssens and Raf Maes. KOMONO sunglasses can be recognized by their distinctive, hip style, striking colors and aesthetically beautiful designs.
Innovative sustainable materials: eco acetate and recycled acetate
KOMONO sunglasses found at Sophie Stone are made of more sustainable materials. They are also called green sunglasses. In these models, the frames are made of eco acetate and/or recycled acetate. Recycled acetate consists of scraps left over from the production of eyewear that are dyed with natural black pigment. Eco acetate is a natural, hypoallergenic plastic made from plants. It is made from natural and renewable resources such as cotton and wood pulp. This makes the eyewear biodegradable.
Sunglasses case made from recycled PET bottles
The case in which you can store your KOMONO sunglasses is made of recycled PET bottles. These are GRS-certified and can also be used for other purposes, such as case for your phone, bank cards and coins.
