Fashion Cities Africa | Tropenmuseum Amsterdam
It had been on my to-do list for a while: visit the Tropenmuseum's exhibition Fashion Cities Africa. Since the exhibition is only open until 6 January, today seemed like a good time.
What is Lyocell/Tencel?
Lyocell is a very durable material made from cellulose from wood chips. It is thus a natural fiber. The wood chips come from eucalyptus or beech trees from special forests characterized by "sustainable forest management.

Last Saturday the photo shoot of the Sophie Stone winter collection 2016 took place. After some initial hick-ups (no make-up artist due to a miscommunication and a late start due to train disruptions), we started around a quarter to nine with putting on the first outfits, the make-up done by myself and determining the first scene (where, with what light and which poses).
