How do you care for your favorite pair of jeans? Tip number 1: Jeans last the longest if you don't wash them too often. If you wash them too often, the denim fabric wears down faster and your jeans will not last as long. If you do not wear your jeans very often, it is enough to wash them once every two or three months (inside out) at 30 degrees maximum. Do you wear your jeans more often? Then you could wash them once every two weeks. In between, treat local stains with natural Marseille Soap (Available at Dille & Kamille, among other places). But don't wash your jeans too little either, as dirt will actually accumulate in the fibers. So try to find a good balance in how often you wash your jeans. Do you think your jeans don't smell fresh? Then air the jeans outside for a few hours. This is often enough.

Washing jeans | Sophie Stone

After washing your jeans, never put them in the dryer. This is not only better for the environment but also for your jeans. This is because the elastane in your jeans cannot stand the heat of a dryer and will break down due to the heat. When the elastane is affected by heat you lose the fit and therefore the comfort of your jeans.

After washing and drying, the jeans are best folded (zipper and button neatly closed) and stored lying down in your closet.

At Sophie Stone we have jeans in collection for women and men from the brands ARMEDANGELS and MUD jeans. Also some jeans from Lanius and J Label for women. View all women's jeans here and all men's jeans here.
