What is Tencel?

Tencel is the registered trademark of the manufacturer Lenzing for lyocell. It is a 100% natural and very sustainable material(Tencel carries the European Ecolabel). Tencel is made of cellulose from eucalyptus wood. This wood comes from special, sustainably managed forests where a new tree is planted for every bean used. The production of the material takes place through a closed system in which water and solvents are permanently recycled.

Clothing made from Tencel fabric is skin-friendly (due to its naturalness), has very good moisture and heat regulation, a beautiful silky sheen, falls smoothly and is fully biodegradable. It is also easy to wash and hardly shrinks or wrinkles.
