Sophie Stone is looking for a retail intern with the same love for fashion as we do, effective September 2024.

Sophie Stone is a fast growing Fair Fashion webshop with a brand new store located at Steenweg in Utrecht. Per September 2024 we are looking for an intern with a passion for (sustainable) fashion, a service-oriented attitude and a smooth talk. Are you looking for a fun and versatile internship in sustainable fashion retail where you experience what it is like to own a store and a webshop? Then this paid internship is for you!   

Doing an internship at Sophie Stone means that you will be fully involved in the company and be involved in as many activities as possible. For example, you will help decide on the new collection during purchasing appointments and see how we can optimize the store.  

Your workplace is in our new shop in the centre of Utrecht. 8 min walk from Utrecht CS.  

Work  

  • Helping with sales and advising customers
  • Handling of cash transactions
  • Taking care of receiving and processing goods
  • Ensuring good replenishment in the shop
  • Taking outfit photos for social media
  • Participating in the purchasing of the new collections during purchasing appointments

Profile  

  • You are following a MBO or HBO study in the direction of Retail, Fashion, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, Communication or Small Business 
  • You are an enthusiastic go-getter, who can work well independently and efficiently
  • You have a passion for fashion and a sense of styling
  • You enjoy talking to people and helping them find a nice outfit
  • You are pro-active, solution-oriented and you work accurately

Period  

You can start preferably in September 2024 and then be available for at least 20 weeks for 4 (or more) days per week.  

Interested?

As an intern, you will participate fully in the company. Your work will be varied and you will be given a lot of responsibility. In addition, there is plenty of room for your own input and creativity. As compensation, you will receive an internship allowance and a 20% discount on everything in the (web) shop.
