Use this laundry bag (74x50 cm) to wash your synthetic clothing (made of materials such as polyester, nylon, acrylic, fleece, and rPET) and help prevent microplastics from ending up in rivers and oceans. In addition, the bag protects your clothing, reducing wear and tear, helping it stay looking good longer, and minimizing fiber shedding. The Guppyfriend captures 99% of the microplastics that would otherwise end up in surface water via the sewer system. The bag itself is made of polyamide and doesn’t shed any fibers during washing. Ideal for items like your tights and sports and rainwear made of (recycled) polyester!
- Put synthetic clothes in the laundry bag. Do not overload the laundry bag and sort by colour.
- Close the laundry bag, place it in the machine with your other laundry (e.g. cotton) and wash as usual.
- Remove the clothes from the bag after washing.
- Remove the remaining fluff (microplastics) from the corners and hem of the laundry bag and dispose of it in the residual waste.

All items in our collection are made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton, Tencel or Econyl. They have matching certificates such as GOTS, PETA approved and GRS. We have carefully reviewed, tried on and selected all the garments ourselves.
